Does pvp chars get minipets for their birthdays?

Wow. If you have a PvP character that you haven't rerolled in over a year, you may be the first one to find out.

I've got a pvp-special-event account from the FPE. it was available for use again in the nightfall pvp event. the assassin I had there could not be played, but now I wonder if in the next one, the core character I made could be, and if so, maybe in an event after a year I could get mini pets for those chars.
